Life at Let's Grow
Open 9 AM–3 PM, Monday–Friday, we operate in a barrier-free and accessible space located in beautiful Midtown Toronto. At Let’s Grow, we provide high-quality recreation programming and personal care that is rooted in the dignity, autonomy, and strengths of our Team Members. We believe in working together to bridge access needs, prioritize community building and foster engagement for all!

Let's Grow is special. Our son Jake, can simply be Jake. He belongs,
he is challenged, he is respected – and he has loads of fun. Let’s Grow celebrates the Team Members. They inspire kindness, gratitude
and respect in others.

Arrival: 9 AM
Our day starts at 9 AM when our Team Members arrive!
Morning Huddle
At Let's Grow, our morning huddle happens every day, providing a chance for Team Members, students, and staff to start the day in a positive way! First, everyone shares something about their evening, which encourages the use of communication devices, journals, and other forms of expression. Then, we move on to a group stretch – from head to toe. Fun music and movement are the best way to begin the day! Lastly, we gather around our daily schedule and a Team Member helps share what fun activities we will be getting up to.
Morning Activities
Every morning, our Team Members enjoy 30 minutes of free time, allowing them to participate in independent or group activities of their choice. They have a variety of options, including reading, painting, completing puzzles, using sporting equipment, relaxing in our sensory corner, or hanging out with friends!
After free time, we dive into our first activity of the day, which includes active games, crafts, baking, reading circle, and more!
Lunch: 11:30 AM
We support a variety of feeding methods including oral support and J/G tube feeding. All Team Members' lunches must be prepared and sent from home. Our care team will support feeding from 11:30 AM–12:45 PM.
Personal Care
Personal care happens all day! This includes change and toileting schedules both in the morning and the afternoon. Parents and guardians are responsible for supplying all necessary personal care equipment for their loved ones.
Afternoon Programming
After lunch, we begin our afternoon programming, which typically includes two recreational and leisure activities. Our schedule offers a range of options, such as art therapy, trivia and other communication games, sports, nature walks, STEM activities, movies, drama, yoga, and more!
Community Outings
With preparation and notice to families, we love getting out into the community! Some of our favorite destinations include Ripley's Aquarium, the Toronto Zoo, The National Ballet, and Blue Jays games.
Community outings are a ton of fun – and we love being an active part of the community and advocating for accessibility in Toronto!
